Erikson Institute is a warm, welcoming, and diverse community of faculty, students, alumni,  trustees, supporters, and partners who share a passionate commitment to improving the lives of young children.

We teach that all learning takes place within relationships, and we model that belief in our classrooms. Students here enjoy lively, close connections with faculty and personalized support from our responsive staff. With a broad range of backgrounds and experience represented in the student body, students learn from one another and develop a valuable network of professional connections.

Intellectually, we value complexity and believe that there are no single right answers; we encourage our students to integrate multiple perspectives and balance theory with careful observation and practical knowledge.

Our faculty members are respected voices for children; their expertise is sought and heeded by the medical and legal community, state policymakers, national research and advocacy organizations, and Congressional hearings. Following that example, our alumni are leaders who are changing children’s lives everywhere.
