Master's degree and certificate programs
Erikson's master's degree and certificate programs are intellectually rigorous. Students in each of these programs are expected to engage in academic inquiry at the graduate level.  Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education with a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4-point scale.

All applicants will be interviewed and selected for admission on the basis of
  • prior academic performance;
  • practical experience with young children (birth to eight years old) in a supervised setting;
  • demonstrated suitability for the field
Doctoral program
Applicants must have a master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a field related to child development (i.e. education, sociology, psychology, social work) with a minimum grade point of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.

Applications will be reviewed and selected applicants will be invited to interview with a member of the doctoral admission committee on the basis of
  • prior academic performance;
  • acceptable performance on the Graduate Record Examination (general test);
  • evidence of intellectual curiosity
