Overview
Irving B. Harris Infant Specialist Online CoursesErikson currently offers four graduate-level infant studies courses online.
These courses provide the knowledge necessary for success in the complex role of the infant/family specialist. They are designed for professionals who work with children from birth to age three and their families in fields such as early intervention, education, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, and speech and language pathology, They are taught by Erikson faculty and offer the same high standards as our face-to-face graduate level courses, but offer the convenience of studying at a time and place that fits your schedule.
Courses are designed to foster interactive student involvement through asynchronous online discussions. While online courses offer great flexibility, they also require a significant time commitment.
These courses may be taken on a letter grade basis, which may be applied toward our infant specialist certificate, or on a pass/fail basis for professional development credit.
Note:
While these online courses meet some requirements of the infant studies certificate program, other course requirements involve time spent on campus. It is not possible to complete the certificate program entirely online at this time.
