Early intervention
Courses in this division offer Early Intervention credit in each of the four core areas: intervention, working with families, assessment, and child development. These courses are suited for those seeking approval of their early intervention license from the State of Illinois and focus primarily on working with children ages zero to three. Additionally, these courses offer credit for social workers, as well as Continuing Education Units for general practitioners and parents.

Teaching and learning
Courses in this division are suited primarily for early childhood educators. With a wide range of topics offered, this division offers courses focused on topics such as curriculum assessment, embedding literacy across the curriculum, and teaching students with autism, to name a few. These courses offer Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) which are required credits for teachers seeking recertification in the State of Illinois. Additionally, these courses offer Continuing Education Units for general practitioners.

Leadership and supervision
Courses in this division are well-suited for directors, administrators, and supervisors of child care programs. This division offers instruction with powerful strategies for building effective staffs and positive community relationships.

Online infant studies courses
Erikson's online infant studies courses may be taken for professional development credit. These are the same intensive courses offered through our infant specialist certificate program, available anywhere, at a time convenient for you.

See online course information for details on tuition, requirements, and application procedures. Because these are graduate level courses, you must submit the  online courses/student-at-large application. Do not register on this site or use the professional development registration form.
