Need-based grants, valued at 5 to 20 percent of tuition, are awarded annually to master’s degree students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens. Grant awards are based on demonstrated financial need, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and are limited by the availability of funds. They are not awarded for summer term enrollment.

A Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant can help you pay for college if you plan to become a teacher in a high-need field in a low-income area. You’ll be required to teach for a certain length of time, so make sure you understand your obligation.
