Preschool Inputs and Children's Outcomes

Jolynne Andal

Research associate Jolynne Andal collaborated with the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) on a study to determine the comparative effectiveness of three program inputs in improving Chicago Public School (CPS) preschoolers’ academic outcomes through first grade. Specifically, the study looked at whether class size reduction, teacher professional development, and parental involvement activities are cost-effective and critical for success in the CPS system.
