Judith Grimes Bertacchi, M.Ed. ’71, received the Johanna Tabin Public Service Award from the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis in May. A nationally renowned consultant on reflective supervision, she was a founding member and the second president for the Illinois Association for Infant Mental Health. Bertacchi served the Virginia Frank Child Development Center for 28 years in a variety of roles before joining the executive team at the Ounce of Prevention Fund in Chicago.

Desney Avery, M.S. ’02, celebrated her grandson’s first birthday on March 26 with her son Tim and daughter-in-law Christy and extended family. She will begin Erikson’s Infant Mental Health Certificate Program this year.

Theresa Stolt, M.S. ’05, is the lead kindergarten teacher at The Prairie School of DuPage in Wheaton, Illinois. Her work helped The Prairie School become one of only seven schools in the Chicago area to be certified as a “Nature Explore” outdoor classroom by the Arbor Day Foundation.
