From President Samuel J. Meisels’s departure, effective June 1, 2013, until the new president begins his or her tenure, Bowman will assume management for external affairs, and Stott will provide internal governance.
“We are thrilled that Barbara and Fran have agreed to lead Erikson in the interim,” says Kate Neisser, chair of the Board of Trustees. “Both are beloved members of the Erikson community, and Barbara is one of the Institute’s founders.”Meisels announced in October 2012 that he was stepping down at the end of the academic year. He will become the founding executive director of the University of Nebraska’s new Buffett Early Childhood Institute.

Presidential search update
Erikson has retained Alison Ranney of Russell Reynolds Associates to work with the Presidential Search Committee of the Board of Trustees to identify the next president.
Ranney leads the Chicago nonprofit and education practice for Russell Reynolds.
