Barbara T. Bowman, Erikson’s interim president for external affairs, was quoted in the Southtown Star explaining how children’s relationships with their toys begin to fade.

While some children may be reluctant, most children eventually distance themselves from their once-beloved toys. “Most kids are pretty smart,” Bowman says. “So if someone teases them about (bringing out a stuffed animal), they won’t do it again.”
