Hannah Kaare leads the logistics for the Policy and Leadership Department’s client-based projects, including project management and implementation. She exercises strong judgment in responding to questions, troubleshooting problems, and flagging issues for other team members as needed. Hannah also builds and maintains relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including other Erikson staff, ECLA alumni, and other partner organizations. She takes projects from the ideation stage through planning and implementation phases. She oversees event management and speaker arrangements and manages vendor contracts and other official agreements. She assists with website and mobile app maintenance and outreach and provides supervision, support, and/or training to interns working for Policy and Leadership Department programs.
Hannah earned a master’s degree in social work with a specialization in leadership and development in social services from Loyola University Chicago. She completed her fieldwork at Erikson Institute in the Policy and Leadership Department. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Luther College and studied parent- child relationships of incarcerated individuals and the impact of family prison visitation on children. Her field experience includes interning at the Michael Barlow Center at St. Leonard’s Ministries and serving as a youth mentor at Helping Services for Northeast Iowa. She volunteered as a respite foster care interviewer, determining applicant eligibility to be a respite foster care provider. Additionally, she worked as an assistant daycare teacher at Kuhl Corner Campus.
