Jessica is a current graduate student of the Child Development with a concentration in Administration program at Erikson Institute. Throughout her three-year program she has worked part-time as an Administrative support staff in Erikson Institute, Center for Children and families. She has assisted the multi-disciplinary team consisting of clinicians, pediatricians, social workers and psychologists during visits for early intervention, mental health evaluations and medical diagnostic testing for children and families. Jessica volunteered as the social media and communications manager for the student committee briefly where she assisted and implemented strategies for student engagement. Jessica is currently completing her fieldwork as an intern at the Erikson Institute Policy and Leadership department for the Early Childhood and Leadership Academy. As an intern Jessica is responsible for key takeaways, alumni engagement and support the department as needed.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Communications with a minor in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During her years at UIC she served on many organizations such as Student board committee member, student ambassador for Trio program, Secretary of the Unity in Christ Gospel Choir, Student Worship Leader with All campus worship and worked in the Liberal Arts and Sciences Advancement department as an Administrative assistant. She assisted the advancement department with event planning and executing annual Recognition dinner with sponsors, donors and UIC alumnus.
Previously, Jessica worked as an Enrollment Coordinator for Grand Crossing Kid Care where she served children and families on the south side of Chicago for daycare arrangements. She is currently serving and volunteering as an Outreach Ministries Director at New Life Covenant Southeast where she oversees various ministries for planning and implementation of programming and engagement with community initiatives and services for the Greater Grand Crossing Community members.
