Jessica Ruiz is currently the site coordinator for the Educare West DuPage project, serving as the point of contact at the site, managing the logistics of the evaluation, and reporting activities.

An Erikson graduate, Ruiz also gained experience at Illinois Action for Children observing and assessing early child care programs within low-income communities using a variety of tools, including the Early Childhood and Infant-Toddler Environment Rating Scales and the Business Administration Scale.

Her interests include both research and advocacy for quality care and educational opportunities on behalf of Latino and African American children.

In addition to working at Erikson, Ruiz is also pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership at Lewis University.
