Laura Wald, LCSW, has been a social worker for over thirty-five years. Her expertise is in the field of developmental disabilities, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The vast majority of her career has been in schools, specifically, special education programming working directly with children with developmental challenges and their families. She has also worked extensively with children with learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders. Her particular area of interest has been working with families through all life cycle phases, helping families to access resources, including financial monies, as well as obtaining assistance by working collaboratively with school systems, and the community.

She is a regular presenter on Autism Spectrum Disorders and their impact on families in the Erikson Institute Professional Workshop Series as well as The School of Social Administration for The University of Chicago. She has lectured about these issues at local, state and national conferences.
