Monica has worked with children and families in a variety of settings since 2009, including after-school programs, social-emotional interventions in schools, and with families in their homes. Monica has experience treating children with emotional and behavioral disorders, both individually and in groups. She’s also worked with adults experiencing feelings of depression and anxiety.
At the Center for Children and Families, Monica provides counseling services addressing a range of issues, including trauma, aggression, hyperactivity, attention problems, and child behavior challenges. She also provides individual and classroom support in two Chicago Public Schools in the Austin neighborhood through a grant to CCF.
Monica earned her master’s degree in clinical social work at Loyola University Chicago and is enrolled in the Infant Mental Health certificate program at Erikson Institute.
