Peter J. Smith, MD, is a board-certified developmental and behavioral pediatrician and an experienced member of the medical diagnostic team at Erikson’s Center for Children and Families. Dr. Smith is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago. His professional expertise and areas of interest include neurodevelopmental disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and intellectual impairments. After attending medical school at Duke University, Dr. Smith completed his general pediatric residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, and two fellowships at Boston Children’s Hospital, teaching affiliate of Harvard University Medical School.
