Robyn Hart has been Director of the Child Life Program at Rush University Medical Center for 23 years. Before joining Rush, Hart had extensive clinical experience as a child life specialist in Chicago-area hospitals. She has served on the boards of three charitable organizations devoted to the needs of hospitalized children, and was instrumental in founding two of them. Hart has coauthored two books dealing with therapeutic activities for children coping with healthcare experiences.

Hart teaches the child life courses at the Erikson Institute.
