A Bilingual and/or ESL Endorsement Can Expand Your Teaching Possibilities.

Earn your Bilingual and/or ESL endorsement with the Master of Science in Early Childhood Education degree.

Completing this endorsement enables you to add the bilingual/ESL endorsement through the Illinois State Board of Education. If you earn the Bilingual endorsement, you’ll automatically earn the ESL endorsement as well, without needing to complete additional courses.

  • Don’t have proficiency in a language other than English? The English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement prepares you to instruct new language learners in English.
  • Have a second language proficiency? The Bilingual endorsement prepares you to instruct young children in that language as well as English.
