In this workshop, teachers will learn research-based, proven strategies for effectively building vocabulary, modeling language, and engaging in meaningful conversations with children that help them use and develop language skills.
Instructors:Lorenza Di Natale, M.S.
Lorenza Di Natale, M.S., has been a literacy coach for the University of Illinois at Chicago-Early Reading First since 2009, working on the CCL, APLLE and IMPACT projects. She provides coaching and professional development to support early childhood teachers in creating print and language rich environments to enhance student literacy learning and achievement. Lorenza earned a M.S in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University and a B.S from Loyola University. She has been in the field of education for over 20 years. During that time she has taught preschool, administered early childhood programs, served as the parent involvement coordinator for the National Parent Teacher Association where she wrote Building Successful Partnerships: A Guide to Developing Parent and Family Involvement Programs, and has worked as an independent consultant in the field of early literacy.
