What happens when you must suddenly pivot to teaching your children at home? How do you finish strong and move into an uncertain summer after a very difficult year? How do you manage your children’s needs and your own at the same time?
Erikson Institute faculty, Dr. Jeanette Banashak, and Dr. Cassandra McKay-Jackson will share some strategies to promote social emotional learning (SEL) to support a smoother transition into the days ahead, where your family’s and your needs are met. This webinar is geared towards parents of children and youth who have been managing remote instruction this quarter.
Attendees will learn: 1) How to address acute trauma, and incorporate SEL into day to day activities, 2)The process of using language to promote compassion and healthy communication, and 3) How to be aware of your own needs, express them, and then support those of others.
