Erikson’s Early Childhood Language and Literacy graduate certificate prepares early childhood educators to create classroom and informal learning environments that support and strengthen young children’s language and literacy proficiency.
The program curriculum is aligned with the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards, and the recommendations of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. From theory to practice, with information from the latest research, graduates of this certificate program will better understand how young children from preschool through third grade learn to read and write.
If you are interested in IL teacher licensure (a Professional Educator License), please see Erikson Institute’s Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with teacher licensure, or the licensure only option for those who already have a Master’s degree in our Post-Master’s Early Childhood Education licensure program.
Erikson Institute accepts applications on a rolling basis.
