Moreno offers tips on raising a child who loves to read

When reading to infants and toddlers, Moreno suggests moving your finger beneath the words as you read to show your child that the symbols on the page have meaning and are the source of the story.

Moreno also suggests giving toddlers books to look at when parents sit down to read. “You’re showing her that reading is important to you, and she’ll want to imitate you,” she says.
