Donohue named emerging pioneer in children’s interactive media

TEC Center director Chip Donohue will be honored with the 2015 KAPi Award for Emerging Pioneer from the Children’s Technology Review.

The KAPi Awards note that Donohue “has been a relentless warrior for Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) with the battle cry ‘put some DAP in your app.'” The award announcement also states that that “few have done so much to merge academia with practice.”

The Kids at Play Interactive Awards recognize children’s technology that raises the bar for innovation and excellence, along with an individual who has been a pioneer in the field of children’s interactive media in the prior year.

The 2015 awards will be presented on January 7, 2015, at the Kids at Play Summit, a one-day event held during the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
