Lisa Ginet, assistant director of instruction, and Jennifer McCray, the Collaborative’s director, hosted labs exploring key foundational math practices, helping attendees understand why quality math education is essential, especially in the earliest years. Through hands-on activities, videos, and discussions, participants learned how mathematical concepts taught as early as preschool will help prepare children for success in school and in life.

This marked Erikson’s second year participating in Chicago Ideas Week, an annual seven-day celebration of ideas, innovation, and community.
