Early Math Collaborative nominated for Innovation Award

The award honors people throughout the nation whose innovations advance the field of early childhood care and education.

“It was great to be in the company of other wonderful organizations who are all working toward the same goal,” says Jennifer McCray, director of the Collaborative.

The nomination highlighted principal investigator Jie-Qi Chen and the Collaborative’s work to narrow the achievement gap and improve the practice of early mathematics education for inner city children during the critical first years of schooling.
