Senior instructor Mary Hynes-Berry conducts a workshop exploring the big ideas of mathematics that are all around in early childhood classrooms — from books and stories to real life problems, such as how to be fair about who gets to play with the blocks.

Participants will deepen their own conceptual understanding of foundational mathematics and develop highly effective strategies to bring mathematical thinking to life.

This two-day interactive workshop is part of the Beauvoir National Cathedral Elementary School’s Voices for Learning Summer Institute, with each day featuring a morning and afternoon session.
