Fleming named to national committee on the science of children

Jana Fleming, director of Erikson’s Herr Research Center for Children and Social Policy, was named to a national committee of experts to examine the science of children birth to eight.

The Science of Children Birth to Age 8: Deepening and Broadening the Foundation for Success is an initiative of the Board on Children, Youth, and Families of the Institute of Medicine and the National Research Council.

Public information-gathering session at Erikson

As part of the study process, the committee will hold local public information-gathering sessions in three cities this spring, including one at Erikson on April 22. See event details and RSVP

Sessions will also be held in Washington, D.C., and Irvine, California. Committee members and staff will conduct research to inform the study through site visits and interviews in the three cities.

Final report in 2015
