IKEA Schaumburg donates toys and furniture to CCF

This fall IKEA Schaumburg made a special gift of furniture and toys to Erikson’s Center for Children and Families. This generous donation, which includes bookcases, children’s chairs, and a variety of child-safe toys, creates a welcoming environment for children at CCF and provides tools for the play-based assessments provided by our clinicians.

“I am so pleased that IKEA was able to help us in this way,” says center director Margret Nickels. “This makes visits to the Center a much more pleasant experience for children and families and gives our clinicians fun new tools to use in evaluations. Already, the IKEA Korall Anemon tent is a big hit with the toddlers.”

“At IKEA, we help fulfill our vision of creating a better everyday life for the many by supporting activities in our local communities that help children and women achieve their fullest potential by supporting their learning and development,” said Tiaa Hansson Tuntland, environmental specialist for IKEA’s Chicago market. “We are glad to help Erikson give young children the best start possible.”
