Marketing, education, and legal leaders join Erikson’s board
Erikson welcomes three new members of the Board of Trustees.
Steve Gradman is an experienced consumer brand marketer and digital strategist. He is currently the vice president of marketing and new business initiatives for Becker Professional Education, a division of DeVry Education Group. At Becker, Gradman oversees the marketing for its test preparation services and the launch of new products and services. Prior to this, he led innovation and marketing teams in the consumer packaged goods and technology sectors. Gradman has an MBA in marketing from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Elenne Song spent 10 years as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer in New York City before resigning her last position as senior counsel at Citigroup to move to Chicago. She is active in several organizations that support children and education, including the Laboratory Schools of the University of Chicago and High Jump, an enrichment program in Chicago for economically disadvantaged middle-school students who are academically motivated. She also interviews Chicago-area applicants to Yale University. Song has a J.D. from Yale Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.
Jenni Sorenson is the community resource director at Lincoln Park Preschool and Kindergarten (LPP) in Chicago. She has spent her career as an educator at LPP, also serving as an assistant teacher, pre-kindergarten teacher, and center director. She has written on education and parenting topics for Red Tricycle Chicago and Chicago Parent magazine. Sorenson supports the afterschool program By the Hand Club, Columbia College Chicago, the Alliance Française de Chicago, and the CPS Art Education Fund. Sorenson has a master’s degree in education from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah.
