NAEYC revises its position statement on technology – Erikson's Chip Donohue assists the ongoing effort
Director of distance learning Chip Donohue is assisting a joint effort between the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media to revise NAEYC’s 1996 position statement on technology and young children. The statement offers guidance in the selection, use, integration, and evaluation of technology tools and screen media in early childhood settings serving children birth through age eight.
The latest draft is posted on NAEYC’s website and is open for comments. This is the last opportunity to comment before the final position statement is issued next fall.
