President Samuel J. Meisels spoke to an Omaha audience of more than 800 about why the first years of life are so important.

A Momaha.com article describes how Meisels offered advice on how early childhood education significantly improves children’s lives, starting at home.

He is quoted as saying, “Their most important educators are their families,” and describing the non-cognitive skills that parents can focus on to prepare their children for school.

The presentation was part of Omaha’s Holland Lecture Series.
