Tech can be a social experience for kids, Donohue says

Many parents and educators have concerns about screen-time for young children, and Donohue notes that he pays careful attention to those concerns.

He adds, however, that assumptions about technology are not always true. “An iPad can be a wonderful social experience and group learning experience, not a one-child-only opportunity.”

Kids are using tablets and smartphones, Donohue says, “and we need to figure out how to make that good news.”
