Preparing Early Childhood Teachers to Successfully Educate All Children
April 2006
This work examines teacher education curricula in four-year institutions of higher education across the nation relative to assuring that early childhood teachers can competently educate all children.
Specifically, the study examines how the developmental and educational needs of children with special needs, children of color, children who are low-income, immigrants, second language learners, and second dialect speakers are reflected in bachelor’s-degree early childhood teacher preparation program requirements.
