Emily is in her 16th year of teaching in the Chicago Public Schools and has taught Kindergarten, 4th, and 6-8th across subject areas. Emily has also worked as an adjunct instructor at Dominican University and Loyola University prior to joining Erikson. For the Summer 2023 session, Emily is the instructor for T404: Teaching Science and Social Studies. Emily possessed a wealth of knowledge around planning and delivering inquiry-based concept driven units with attention to detail around reaching DLs, ELS, while incorporating meaningful and rigorous assessments of learning.
Emily is excited to begin working with Erikson faculty and students this summer session to share her knowledge and experiences with best practices in teaching K-3 Science and Social Studies.
