Hannah Kaare

Logistics Manager

Hannah Kaare is the program coordinator for the Early Childhood Leadership Academy (ECLA). She earned a master of social work degree with a specialization in leadership and development in social services from Loyola University Chicago. She completed her fieldwork as an intern at Erikson Institute in the Policy and Leadership Department. As an intern at Erikson, Hannah supported program management functions for the Barbara Bowman Leadership Fellows (BBLF) and McCormick Foundation Executive Fellows (MFEF) programs. In addition to assisting with administrative projects, she also assisted in the development of a leadership and advocacy course for the online masters program.

Hannah earned a bachelor of social work degree from Luther College. While at Luther, she studied parent-child relationships of incarcerated individuals and the impact of family prison visitation on children. During her senior year, she interned at the Michael Barlow Center at St. Leonard’s Ministries. As an intern, she organized weekly meetings with participants to help find employment opportunities. She also assisted in teaching a course to prepare participants for job interviews and to practice professional work ethic skills.

Previously, Hannah served as a youth mentor through Helping Services for Northeast Iowa. She also volunteered as a respite foster care interviewer, where she met with applicants to determine eligibility to be a respite foster care provider. Additionally, she worked as an assistant daycare teacher at Kuhl Corner Campus where she assisted with planning and implementing educational activities as well as provided care and supervision to the children.
