Marion Ivey

Part-time Faculty

Marion Ivey completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education at National-Louis University in 1992. She obtained her Master of Arts degree, also in Early Childhood Education, from the University of Phoenix in 2006. She has taught Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade at Longfellow Elementary School, where she has taught since 2000. Marion has also taught kindergarten and pre-kindergarten in other school districts. Marion considers herself a lifelong learner and received a second Master of Arts degree in 2021 from National-Louis University in Curriculum and Instruction, with concentrations in English Language Learners and Special Education.

Currently, Marion is teaching Social and Historical Perspectives on Early Care and Education.  She is excited to share her love of teaching and learning with and about young children with her students.  Now that Marion’s children are adults, she is excited to be exploring this new opportunity.
