Rebecca has worked in the field of child life for over 20 years, first as a child life specialist working primarily with infants and their parents before becoming a manager. She currently leads a team of child life specialists, art therapists, music therapists, schoolteachers and education liaisons at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Rebecca teaches Adult Education and Supervision within the Child Development program and Working with Adults within the Child Life Leadership and Advocacy program.
It is important to Rebecca to support the future generations of people that will change the face of programs and supports for young children and families. She is passionate about creating emotionally safe environments for children, especially in difficult settings such as healthcare encounters.
