Karen has over 20 years’ experience in academic librarianship and came to Erikson in 2009 after eight years as an Associate Librarian at IUPUI University Library, where she was the Education Librarian and Access Services Team Leader. Her areas of specialization include interlibrary loan and electronic resources management, and she advises the Erikson community on best practices in copyright. She is the co-editor of the 3rd Edition of the Interlibrary Loan Practices Handbook (2011, ALA Editions). More recently, Karen is pursuing accreditation as a certified genealogist. She is an alumna of Bates College (B.A., history) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Information (M.S. library and information Science).
