Natalie Dowdell

Associate Director of Advising

Natalie is Erikson Institute’s Academic Advisor. She is an Erikson alum with a Master of Child Development from Erikson Institute (2019), a Master of Jurisprudence in Children’s Law and Policy from Loyola University (2019), and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Spelman College (2010).

Before joining the Erikson team, Natalie worked with children and young adults in many capacities. Her prior experience includes several years of teaching in daycare settings, enrichment centers, and elementary schools. She has also interned with the domestic violence program at the YWCA in Evanston, where she helped develop and instruct the violence prevention program to grades 5-12. She has even worked as a client solutions specialist at PNC Bank for many years. As an Academic Advisor, Natalie works collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty, to support students through their academic experience at Erikson. Through her role at Erikson, Natalie’s goal is to be a part of a supportive network for all students.
