Erikson Alum Authors Chapter in New NAEYC Book

Congratulations to Lauren Solarski, PhD (PhD ‘21) who recently published a chapter, “Finding Joy in Kindergarten Mathematics,” in National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)’s new book “Focus on Developmentally Appropriate Practice: Equitable and Joyful Learning in Kindergarten.” NAEYC members can purchase the e-book here


Help Wanted: Doctoral Research Participants

Erikson doctoral candidate, Adenia Linker, M.Ed. is seeking early career teachers who identify as white women and have been teaching in the U.S. for four years or less to participate in a research study. This study focuses on understanding how moments of racial discomfort are navigated and the role that support plays in shaping inclusive teaching practices. The study also offers an opportunity to reflect on your teaching journey and contribute to research that aims to improve teacher preparation programs and support systems. Your insights will help inform strategies to better equip educators to foster equity and inclusion in diverse classrooms. Vote for Erikson’s Own Meghan L. Green, EdD for NAEYC’s Governing Board

We are excited to share that Meghan L. Green, EdD is a candidate for the 2025 NAEYC Governing Board Election for the Member at Large position. Dr. Green is currently an Assistant Professor of Raciolinguistic Justice in Early Childhood Teacher Education in the Triple Endorsement program. Voting in the 2025 election will open in January. To be eligible to vote in the 2025 election, you will need to be a current NAEYC member by December 31, 2024. Be on the lookout for more information about candidates’ statements and videos soon!
