Learn How You Can Better Understand Your Child’s Emotional Work and Support Their Development
Most parents wish their child would come with an instructional manual that would help them know exactly what to do and how to manage difficult feelings, behaviors, and moments. In those early years before language development, it can be difficult to understand what your child is trying to communicate to you and how to respond. Even after they are more equipped to tell you it can be hard to know exactly what it all means.
The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research and provides a road map to understand your child’s needs and to support building trust and security in your attachment relationship.
The learning objectives of the program include:
Join us for an 8-week Circle of Security Parenting™ group beginning the week April 27, 2023. This group will be facilitated by Sara Phou, the director of the Center for Children and Families and trained facilitator in Circle of Security Parenting™. The group will be comprised of 10-15 parents and caregivers with children under nine years old.
The group will meet for one hour, a weekly session to dive into the Circle of Security Parenting™ program which utilizes video examples and reflective questions to help support your parent-child relationship and better understand and respond to your child’s needs.
