Jola Dohrmann

Part-time Faculty

Jola Dohrmann is a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology in the Human Development and Learning program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She earned her master's degree in early childhood education from the Erikson Institute and holds a teaching license category 04. In addition to higher education, Jola works with young children at the University of Chicago Laboratory School and with middle schoolers at the Maximilian Kolbe Polish Language School.

Jola is a proud alumnus and first-year adjunct at the Erikson Institute. She will teach Social and Emotional Development I (SED I) this semester. She was introduced to SED and the science of friendship while taking human development classes with Erikson's Professors. She continues studying the subject and collects data at the UIC's Children's Center, observing four- and 5-year-old preschoolers' interactions.
