Linda Horwitz

Part-time Faculty

Linda Horwitz has been in the field of family support and early intervention for over 30 years. Linda’s training and professional experiences as a Child Life Specialist, Developmental Therapist and Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist has always focused on empowering families, support/prevention and intervention for families with infants and young children, as well working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment-we are better together!

Linda’s approach has focused on a combination of child development, a relational and family systems approach, trauma informed and healing centered care and an understanding of the impact of medical trauma/NICU experiences. As Program Supervisor and Developmental/Infant Mental Health Specialist at Erikson Institute’s Fussy Baby Network, Linda spearheaded the same support to families in the NICU and helped to launch the Smooth Way Home Program. Along with her Fussy Baby/Smooth Way Home work, Linda is a reflective supervisor for colleagues and students in the IMH Field, Adjunct Faculty at Erikson, and offers private I/ECMH Consultation to home visiting Programs in the Community.
