A Statement from Patricia Lawson, Interim President and Chief Financial Officer
On February 6, the Erikson community bid farewell to Geoffrey A. Nagle, PhD, MSW, MPH who served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Erikson Institute for over seven years. During that time, Dr. Nagle significantly advanced Erikson’s work to help children, families and communities thrive. I extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Nagle for all he has accomplished.
I am certainly proud of the entire Erikson community, including the leadership team, staff, and faculty, for completing a year of tremendous achievements in the midst of a pandemic. Together, we are committed to building on the outstanding programs and services Erikson delivers through our Academic Programs, Clinical & Community Services, and Policy & Leadership, and to advancing our efforts to become an anti-racist institution. As Interim President, I will work closely with Erikson’s Board of Trustees and leadership team to ensure operations continue to run smoothly during this time of transition. I also look forward to assisting the Board as they launch a national search to hire Erikson’s next President.
Throughout Erikson’s 50+ year history, visionary leaders have stewarded our mission of building a future where all children have equitable opportunities to realize their potential. I am honored to serve as Interim President while we identify Erikson’s next extraordinary leader.
In gratitude,
Patty Lawson
