In the wake of yet another tragic mass shooting, this one very close to home at a parade in Highland Park, Illinois, Erikson extends our condolences and full support to the victims, their families and the entire Highland Park community. We also reaffirm our commitment to addressing gun violence through advocacy and activism.
Gun violence, exacerbated by easy access to automatic weapons, continues to shatter our nation and inflict fear and pain on everyone—including families with young children across Chicago’s city neighborhoods and suburbs. As experts in child development, we understand the devastating impact of early trauma and adverse experiences.
