Accelerate your career by earning your master’s degree in early childhood education at Erikson Institute. Our program prepares you to become a licensed teacher for children from birth to second grade.
In this program, which leads to initial teacher licensure (Illinois Professional Educator License), you will not only gain the specific content knowledge needed to be an effective teacher of young children, but also how children age 8 and younger grow and learn. You will be challenged to consider developmentally appropriate teaching methods, as well as how families, communities, and culture affect children’s development and success.
You will complete a two-semester student teaching experience and participate in small-group integrative seminars, where you will talk with peers and faculty about your classroom teaching experience and get real-time feedback and advice.
Erikson offers several scholarships opportunities to admitted students. To learn more about scholarship eligibility and how the scholarship may be applied throughout the program, simply apply for admission to the program and complete your FAFSA.
